When the weather starts to get colder, it’s only a matter of time before a thick layer of snow coats Minnesota. That means some winter activities start opening up. One of the best and most exciting things to do in Minnesota is skiing downhill. Cascade Lodge knows this best. We are ideally located for skiing fans due to our proximity to the Lutsen Mountains.
If you’ve been here before, you know the Upper Midwest is a skiing destination. If you haven’t been downhill in the Lutsen Mountains, consider this your introduction to the area and Cascade Lodge.
Right away, we need to talk about some of our packages that have skiing in mind. We offer easy access to the best skiing trails and slopes in Minnesota. Also, we have ski and snowshoe rentals, which includes custom fitting and daily use of cross-country ski and snowshoe equipment. There is also a cross-country ski package for the skiers in your party that aren’t in the mood for alpine skiing.
As we stated before, Lutsen Mountains is one of the best skiing destinations in the Upper Midwest. It covers more than 1,000 acres, 90 ski runs on four peaks. Typically Lutsen Mountains will open in November and close in April. Don’t forget to take some time to enjoy the views of Lake Superior on top of the peaks.
So booking your room with Cascade Lodge ahead of the ski season is essential. The ski ranges have routes for seasoned, beginners, and families.
