Pack your hiking shoes and hit the incredible trails surrounding the Cascade Lodge. We have all the provisions to make your hike a fun and memorable experience for you and your hiking group, whether you want to explore Cascade River State Park or venture out on Superior Hiking Trail.

Our Hiking Adventure package includes full breakfast and trail lunch each day, and one shuttle ride to the Caribou Trailhead.

Here is an example of what your package might look like on a 3 night stay with up to 20 miles of hiking:

Day 1: Arrive anytime after 3 pm, do a quick warm up hike of 2 miles up Lookout Mountain.

Day 2: Have breakfast at restaurant, pick up a trail lunch and take shuttle to Caribou Trailhead. Hike either 9 or 11 miles back to Lodge.

Day 3: Have breakfast at restaurant, pick up a trail lunch, leave from Lodge to hike Cascade River Loop 8 miles.

Day 4—Enjoy breakfast and check out by 11 am.

Cascade Lodge is the perfect "base camp" for you to experience and enjoy the exciting season of roaring spring waterfalls! Our Waterfall Adventure package can be added to any lodging, and includes:

• Daily breakfast including standard beverage in our award-winning onsite Restaurant and Pub.
• 1 Dinner at our Restaurant including your choice of house wine, tap beer or non-alcoholic beverage.
• A copy of the book, "Waterfalls of Minnesota’s North Shore", by Eve & Gary Wallinga, that serves as an excellent guide to help you explore the North Shore during Waterfall Season.

Let Cascade Lodge provide a lift into 58 km of machine groomed scenic north shore trails as you ski back to the creature comforts of Cascade Lodge! Start your day with a hearty breakfast at our Cascade Restaurant and Pub where you will also pick up your packed lunch and snacks for your mid-day refuel in the backcountry of the North Shore. Your package also includes a shuttle to the start of most of our beautiful Nordic Skiing trails from where you will ski back to your cozy cabin or a room at the Cascade Lodge.

Sample 3-night Itinerary:

• Arrive at Cascade. Ski some of Cascade's wonderful loops (Lookout, Pioneer, Ridge, River).
• Day 1: Eat breakfast and pick up your trail snack. Shuttle to Massie Loop Trail head. Ski out to the North Shore State Trail and then ski the upper Hall and Massie Loops back to Cascade Lodge (12K).
• Day 2: Eat breakfast and pick up your trail snack. Shuttle to Deer Yard Lake Trailhead. Ski Main Loop and back to Cascade Lodge (13K).
• Day 3: Eat breakfast, pick up your trail snack, and ski some of Cascade’s wonderful loops (Lookout, Pioneer, Ridge, River).
